DRIVING TO THE HOTEL::
From Luxor Airport (LXR): Distance to the Hotel New Winter & Pavilion Palace is 15 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A frequent bus service runs from the airport to central Luxor, and the journey time is approximately 20 minutes. Taxis to the city centre cost approximately 50 EGP (10 EUR), and the fare should be negotiated prior to travelling. Many resorts and hotels provide airport transfers. Getting around. Luxor is best explored by taxi, and taxis can be hired for the day or for individual journeys. Horse-drawn carriages (caleches) are ideal for shorter, leisurely journeys.
