You'll find the Kinderparadies (Kids' paradise) and the Kinderclub Pumuckel at the Hotel La Ginabelle, where your children can spend their day (and evenings on request) under professional supervision. There is the Pingu Club Riffelberg, here they can play in the snow; and if it gets too cold there is a cosy and comfortable room at the Hotel Riffelberg where they can play and paint, all under professional supervision.

Our breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired! Müesli, yogurt, fruit juices, different fruit; croissants, different rolls and bread, boiled eggs, breakfast meats, cheese specialities, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Coffee, tea, ovomaltine, hot chocolate, and: who would mind a cup of champagne on a sunday? – and of course Antonio's attentive and friendly service!

ROOM DESCRIPTIONS:The hotel consists of 18 big and comfortable twin rooms (two beds, no king size beds) and 3 small but cosy single rooms.
The rooms on the third floor have a special romantic atmosphere. They are high-ceilinged and beneath a wood-panelled roof.
Most of the rooms can be equipped with one to two extra beds (family rooms). For an extra person the hotel charges a supplement.
NEARBY THE HOTELThe Hotel Astoria**** is located in the neighbourhood 'Steinmatte', right in the center of the village. We are about 10 minutes' walk from the station / the Gornergrat train, the Sunnegga Express, and 10 minutes' to the Little-Matterhorn cable car. Immediately next to the hotel there is a lively bar, a little supermarket, a bakery, several sports shops and restaurants. Around the corner you'll find the bus stops to the train station, the Sunnegga Express and to the Little-Matterhorn cable car. To the Bahnhofstrasse (the main street) it is 5 minutes walk, and you'll find loads of lovely boutiques, exquisite restaurants, book shops, jewellers and souvenir shops.
DRIVING DIRECTIONSAccess by train:
Zürich-airport: 380 km - 5 hours by train (direct trains to and from Brig)
Geneva airport: 280 km - 4 hours by train (direct trains to and from Visp)
Milano: 200 km - 3 hours by train (direct trains to and from Brig)
From Brig/Visp you reach Zermatt with the cog-wheel train (BVZ), the slowest express train in the world through a breath-taking landscape full of extremes.
To Zermatt by car:
- To Täsch (6 km from Zermatt)
- The road Täsch - Zermatt is only open to holders of a special permit issued by the state police.
- In Täsch you board the shuttle train which runs between 6.00 and 23.30 at 20 minutes intervals (around CHF 7 per person one way).
- The Zermatt railways put a trolley for you with a deposit of CHF 5 with which you can transport your luggage straight from your car boot onto the train and to Zermatt, without having to carry it around.
- You can park your car either on the public parking lot next to the station at Täsch or with one of the private taxi companies or their underground car parks.
From Täsch you can also take a taxi to Zermatt (taxi stand at the entrance to the village)
- one way and up to 6 persons around CHF 30 - (rates subject to change).
If you wish the transfer from the train station of Zermatt to the hotel please call the hotel number upon your arrival - the porter will come and pick you up immediately (we charge CHF 4 per person each way).
FREE CANCELLATION POLICYCancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 45 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 70 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children from 6 to 11 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged 70 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.

How to reserve
Hotel Astoria
Insert the check in and check out dates in the form. The search engine will list you all the available rooms. By clicking on the room's name you will be able to visualize all the details.
Choose the number of room you would like to book and click on the reserve it button. To proceed with the reservation process you will have to fill the reservation forms with your personal data.
Once you have finished with the reservation process You'll receive an automatic confirmation message from the hotel with all the hotel details. You will not receive any further communication from the hotel, since this confirmation message is definite.
No charge on your credit card
Your credit card details are needed in order to guarantee the reservation and no charges will be made. Credit card informations are sent directly to the property via Secure Server, ensuring these details are protected.
Free Cancellation
The cancellation of the reservation does not involve any additional costs if carried out within the terms of our cancellation policy. In order not to incur in any penalty, you must respect the the terms and conditions of the cancellation accommodation, that you will find published either in the cancellation of the reservation page or inside the reservation form.

The details of your credit card are sent over a cripted and certified SSl protocol (Secure Socket Layer). The information we request when making your reservation, is requested in order to offer you a professional service.
