The Goldenes Schwert is a gay-friendly modern hotel situated in the heart of Zurich's old town, within 500 metres of the Lake and Fraumunster Church. Zurich Airport (ZRH) is 25 minutes by car, 12 kilometres (seven miles) from the hotel.

The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich connecting by Tram Line 4 to Rathaus Station, 500 metres from the hotel. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B. The hotel also offers an airport shuttle bus service for a surcharge. The centre of Zurich can be explored on foot, and the network of trams and buses provide a cheap, reliable service.
Driving directions: From the airport take the highway and follow signs for Zurich, then Central Place, Seilergraben, Hirschengraben, Kirchgasse, Munstergasse and Marktgasse, where the hotel is located.
