This historic building, built in 1886 and transformed in to Hostelling International Chicago in 2000, has hosted thousands of guests from all over the world. With its central location and modern amenities, including free Wi-Fi, it is not a surprise that the hostel has been a favorite among travelers.
With a number of comfortable meeting areas located inside the hostel, it is easy to meet other guests, share stories, become friends, or even find a traveling companion.
There is no curfew at the Hostelling Chicago and guests are permitted to stay for up to 14 days per calendar year.

ROOM DESCRIPTIONS:The spacious single-sex rooms at the hostel range in size from 6 beds to 10 beds. Many rooms are equipped with a private shower and restroom.
All rooms are furnished with individual lockers for personal belongings, although guests must supply their own lock.
Bed linens, towels and pillows are all provided by Hostelling International Chicago.
NEARBY THE HOTELIn the area surrounding the hostel are a number of Chicago's main attractions, museums and restaurants. Explore the nearby Lake Michigan, the world-famous Magnificent Mile or Shedd Aquarium, all located within walking distance from the hostel.
A number of public transportation stops are also located only moments away from the hostel, allowing you to explore the city even further.

*The airport shuttle is available from 4am until 11:30pm. The cost is USD 25 one way, and USD 46 round trip for 1 person. For 2 people the cost is USD 18 per person. The shuttle must be reserved in advance.

How to reserve
Hostelling International Chicago
Insert the check in and check out dates in the form. The search engine will list you all the available rooms. By clicking on the room's name you will be able to visualize all the details.
Choose the number of room you would like to book and click on the reserve it button. To proceed with the reservation process you will have to fill the reservation forms with your personal data.
Once you have finished with the reservation process You'll receive an automatic confirmation message from the hotel with all the hotel details. You will not receive any further communication from the hotel, since this confirmation message is definite.
No charge on your credit card
Your credit card details are needed in order to guarantee the reservation and no charges will be made. Credit card informations are sent directly to the property via Secure Server, ensuring these details are protected.
Free Cancellation
The cancellation of the reservation does not involve any additional costs if carried out within the terms of our cancellation policy. In order not to incur in any penalty, you must respect the the terms and conditions of the cancellation accommodation, that you will find published either in the cancellation of the reservation page or inside the reservation form.
