Known as the gateway to the Reef and the Rainforest, this area is the perfect base to discover Tropical North Queensland. Set in lush tropical gardens, Rydges Reef Resort is located just minutes from the township of Port Douglas and Four Mile Beach. A shuttle bus runs regular service to Port Douglas (surcharge). The décor of the accommodations is tropical and overlook a garden or the lagoon pool. There are two floodlit tennis courst onsite.
The Kids Club at Rendezvous Reef Resort is designed to offer a large open plan area for the kids to "get creative" have fun and to give the kids the opportunity to take home their own creations. The Kids Club is supervised for children aged 5-12 years operating 8:30am-10:00pm, 7 days a week (bookings essential & charges apply). Children aged 5-12 years will receive one complimentary "PM" session (1:30pm-5:30pm) at the Kanga Crew.
Renovation Notice: The hotel is currently renovating its lobby and restaurant and bar. The estimated completion date is September 2008. During this time, these facilities will be closed. The hotel has arranged charge back facilities for food and beverages at the Mantra Treetops located next door. Also, a temporary reception is located at Villa number 111. Guests arriving after the current office hours 0f 7 AM to 9 PM should notify the staff of their expected arrival time and utilise the after-hours phone located outside Villa number 111.

From Cairns International Airport: Go North along the Captain Cook Hwy. Rendezvous Reef Resort is a 50 Minute drive. Located on the Port Douglas Drive, the resort is a left turn 5 minutes after leaving the highway.
